Creighton Construction & Development hosted the fourth annual 7-Eleven Red Fish Rodeo on Sept. 30, raising more than $30,000 to benefit Wounded Warriors of South Florida. More than 100 anglers and 30 boats participated in the fishing tournament, supporting the Wounded Warriors of South Florida’s efforts to assist wounded veterans and families.

“This year’s tournament was a great success thanks to the many individuals that came together to support this wonderful cause,” said M. Dan Creighton, CEO of Creighton Construction & Development. “Wounded Warriors of South Florida does so much to support local veterans and their families, and we are honored to have the opportunity to show our support.”

Founded in 2009, Wounded Warriors of South Florida provides temporary emergency financial assistance to disabled veterans from Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation New Dawn. Since 2014, the organization has assisted over 6,000 veterans and their families, providing financial support when needed most and on items that require immediate action, through payment of mortgages and provision of temporary housing, utilities, bills, home repairs and more.
