Creighton Construction & Development will host the fourth annual 7-Eleven Red Fish Rodeo at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 30, at Tarpon Lodge in Bokeelia, to benefit Wounded Warriors of South Florida. More than 100 anglers and more than 30 boats are anticipated to participate in the fishing tournament, which will include a lunch and awards ceremony at 12:30 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the Wounded Warriors of South Florida. This year’s event marks the fourth year that Creighton Construction & Development has supported the cause that provides assistance to wounded veterans and their families. Last year’s event raised a total of $20,000 to benefit the Wounded Warriors of South Florida.

Founded in 2009, Wounded Warriors of South Florida provides temporary emergency financial assistance to disabled veterans from Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation New Dawn. Since 2014, the organization has assisted over 6,000 veterans and their families, providing financial support when needed most and on items that require immediate action, through payment of mortgages and provision of temporary housing, utilities, bills, home repairs and more.
