Creighton Construction & Development has broken ground on the future site of Lucky’s Market, a natural foods grocer that offers affordable options for everyday foods and specialty choices, that is coming to Cape Coral.
The first Lucky’s Market to open in Lee County will be located at 2615 Santa Barbara Blvd. in Cape Coral. Positioned at the southeast corner of Veterans Parkway and Santa Barbara Boulevard, the new anchor tenant will bring 30,200 square feet of shopping to the region’s largest city.
Lucky’s is a national natural grocer founded in 2003 that is geared towards food lovers and focused on quality products, affordable prices and genuine personal service. Lucky’s shoppers can drink wine and craft beer while they browse the store through the company’s popular Sip and Stroll program.
“Lucky’s Market will bring a brand-new shopping experience to the Cape Coral community, enhancing the way food lovers and families shop for groceries,” said Dan Creighton, founder and CEO of Creighton Construction & Development. “Located at the epicenter of Cape Coral, Lucky’s and surrounding tenants will transform this area by bringing more jobs and new life to this Cape Coral intersection. We’re excited to see this development coming to fruition in Cape Coral.”
Lucky’s Market operates 39 stores across the country in 10 states, including 21 in Florida. One of the company’s core values is to create lasting change in the communities it serves, and the Lucky’s Community Impact Program identifies partners near each of its locations to help enact change. Once per quarter, Lucky’s hosts its Impact Days, donating 10% of that day’s sales to a local nonprofit organization.
“We couldn’t be more excited to open a store in Cape Coral, and have the opportunity to bring more good food at amazing prices to more people,” said Bo Sharon, who founded Lucky’s Market in 2003 with his wife, Trish. “We look forward to serving our new community in Lee County, local Florida growers and producers, and providing our customers with an interesting and unique shopping experience.”
Lucky’s Market in Cape Coral is slated for completion in late spring 2020.
Creighton’s team for the project includes Forest Headley as director of construction, Rick Blake as construction project manager, Dennis Carpenter as superintendent and Lauren Evans as development coordinator. The project architect is WD Partners and the project engineer is Banks Engineering.
The multi-use development at the corner of Veterans Parkway and Santa Barbara Boulevard will also be the future home of multiple restaurant and retail tenants, which will be announced in the future. A Burger King restaurant is currently open at the site.
