Creighton Construction & Development has hired Tyra Read as its in-house real estate attorney.
Read brings 19 years of expertise in real estate law to her role with Creighton, where she is responsible for legal advising on real estate projects and transactions including title, survey, development, easement and lending matters as well as preparation of documents. Her role will support every stage of Creighton’s turnkey service, including site acquisition, engineering, design, permitting and construction services for commercial projects. This new in-house service will provide speed and cost savings to Creighton’s clients. Read will also work with outside legal counsel in other states for Creighton’s projects.
Read earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Stetson University in 2000 and her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of South Florida.
Prior to joining Creighton, Read was a shareholder at multi-practice law firm, where she handled residential and commercial transactions for clients throughout the state. She is active in the community and has served on the board of directors for the Cape Coral Construction Industry Association and the Cape Coral Community Foundation, as well as on the leadership committee of the Giving Alliance of Women for the Cape Coral Community Foundation.
Read previously has been honored by Martindale-Hubbell as a top-rated lawyer, and as one of Florida’s 2018-2019 “10 Best” Real Estate Law Attorneys for Client Satisfaction by the American Institute of Legal Counsel.
