Creighton Construction & Development has completed construction of a new 7-Eleven evolution store concept in Dallas, Texas, featuring a Laredo Taco Company with its first-ever customer drive-thru.
Located at 6769 Abrams Road in Dallas, the project included the remodel of an existing convenience store to create a modern, one of a kind 6,400-square-foot 7-Eleven convenience store with 16 fueling positions, a car wash and a Laredo Taco Company, an authentic Mexican quick-serve restaurant. The location is 7-Eleven’s sixth evolution store and the third located in Dallas.
7-Eleven’s evolution store concept offers a new generation of convenience, where customers can experience the company’s latest innovations for retail shopping, specialty beverages and freshly made food items under one roof. The Abrams Road location also features a wine cellar, beer cave and expansive selection of sodas, coffees and alcoholic drinks on tap. With a new drive-thru feature to complement the store’s exterior, Dallas-area customers can choose a safe and speedy option for fresh Tex-Mex in the age of COVID-19.
Creighton served as general contractor and provided project management services through both the permit and construction phases. The project team was led by Alex Scalzo, construction manager; and Jerry Bridges and Joe Rotondo, superintendents. Partners on the project include Callison RTKL as the architect, Dimension Group as civil engineer, Prestige Tank & Pump Services, Inc. as the fuel contractor and NCS Ryko as the car wash provider.
